Abstract

La producción de frutales en el VIRCh ocupa un lugar de importancia dentro de la agricultura familiar. Sim embargo, la fruta es severamente dañada por dos especies de lepidópteros: Cydia pomonella ("carpocapsa") y C. molesta ("grafolita"). Para combatir estas plagas, los productores habitualmente aplican numerosos controles químicos, en momentos inadecuados produciendo gastos innecesarios y riesgos ecotoxicológicos. Con el fin de evitar estos inconvenientes, el objetivo del trabajo fue conocer aspectos biológicos de estas especies en el VIRCh e implementar sistemas termoacumulativos para su manejo.
